Just because he may have really cute eyes, stare intently at the bowl and make you feel really bad for not giving him any doesn’t mean that all foods are good for dogs to eat. Bentley loves yogurt, and although letting him lick out my yogurt bowls is okay giving him too much dairy could lead to stomach upset and diarrhea.
Today I wanted to share something that has been bouncing around my facebook page for awhile, and since I know many of you are dog lovers I thought you would find it helpful. While there are many ‘people’ foods that are good for dogs there are also many they should avoid!
We love our animals and I know I’m not the only one who would do just about anything to make sure Bentley was safe, well fed and comfortable. Please click on the photos above to be taken to the site where I got the information! Some of the dangerous plants include lilies, tulips, aloe and foxglove.
Dogs might not know what they are allergic/sensitive too but they can help people with their allergies! This goldendoodle, LilyBelle, sniffs out anything that may contain nuts for her 7 year old mom, Meghan, who has a condition called tuberous sclerosis complex, a genetic disorder that can cause seizures and epilepsy. Click on the picture below and go check out the article and the sweet bond between Meghan and LilyBelle!!
I know Bentley has a lot of food intolerance’s that other dogs are fine with such as chicken and although he can’t sniff out his own food allergies I do the best I can to make sure he isn’t eating something he shouldn’t be. Last night Bentley enjoyed some watermelon with me!
Did you know all of these foods that are bad for dogs?
Has your dog ever gotten into anything he shouldn’t?
Don’t service animals just melt your heart! Especially little LilyBelle and her mom!
