WIAW – trying to change my routine


Hi! How is everyones week going so far? Mine is going pretty well, much less hectic than last week.  Today is Wednesdays and while I typically share my eats from one day (the same thing a lot of the time) I wanted to share two days of meals.  Both Monday and Tuesday I tried to change up my usual eating routine.

Breakfast:  Monday was toast with peanut butter, chia seeds and a banana. Tuesday I had another bowl of Arman’s sweet and salty ice cream, recycled picture from Sunday. Both days I also had some hot coffee.

IMG_5690 IMG_5677Lunch:  Monday I had a salad with leftover salmon and two eggs and Tuesday I had a salad with sweet potato and egg whites.  Monday’s eggs were suppose to have been hard boiled but I must not have cooked them long enough, which of course I didn’t find out until I started to peel them.

IMG_5691 IMG_5698Dinner: Monday night I had an egg white and cheese scramble with cherry tomatoes, green beans and some costco rice mixture and finished with a late night bag of popcorn.  Tuesday night I didn’t get home from class until late so I made an old favorite. A yogurt bowl! I had blueberry greek yogurt with an apple, some dried cherries, chia seeds and dry oats.

IMG_5694 IMG_5695 IMG_5713Snacks:  I forgot to take pictures of snacks as most were eaten at work. Both days I had some almonds, carrots, banana, and roast kabocha.  Monday I had a Cadbury chocolate bar with lunch and Tuesday I had two tootsie rolls.

I’m back to the books now! I’ll be excited when this exam is over next week.  Grad school while working many hours in the week is a bit tiring and I know I’m already ready for the semester to be over.

  1. Good luck with hitting the books! Love the yoghurt bowl you had for dinner, yum.

    Best thing I’ve had this week is a toss up between a breakfast platter I had when I had lunch with my mum on Monday and lunch today with a friend where I had fall of the bone beef ribs. Hmm both were good!

  2. I’m glad that someone else eats as many chia seeds as I do haha. My latest favorite snack is a little container of NSAdded chocolate pudding with some chia seeds and a spoonful of peanut butter mixed in. It’s so delicious. This is my first visit to your blog, I love it!

  3. Fingers crossed for you exam! What is it on?
    The yogurt bowl for dinner looks great! My favourite meal this week so far was today’s lunch of a vegetable and chickpea casserole topped with vegan pepperjack.

    1. I hope you feel better soon! My entire office was out sick most of the week last week and I’m still praying I keep away from whatever they had!

  4. I’m at the point in this pregnancy where absolutely nothing sounds appetizing, but I’m starving. Not a good combo! can’t wait for my body to be mine again and eat normally.
